Custom Portrait Process

Ordering a custom portrait is simple - Find the specific portrait painting you're looking for, then add it to your cart and place your order.

Once your order is placed, you'll receive an order confirmation email. Reply to this email, and share with me:

- Your reference photo(s)

- Your thoughts/preferences

- Any concerns or questions you may have

As soon as I receive it, I'll let you know I got your email, and begin working on your painting!

In a world full of digital content, it's nice to have something real for a change. My watercolor portraits are always 100% hand made, and you'll get in-progress photos from me as I paint. (P.S. The fine art prints were originally hand painted, too!)

Hi! My name is Lydia Lake, and I run things around here. I'm a Christian/homeschooler/animation nerd and procrastinator. Creating watercolor art is one of my (many) hobbies, and creating quality art is a skill I've been developing my entire life. Feel free to stroll around my shop, or read more about my story here!

What does 'Just For You Studios' offer?

Quality custom portraits, miniature fine art prints, and awesome commissions - at an actually affordable price range. I want you to be able to decorate your home and give beautiful, heartfelt gifts without breaking the bank.

Do you accept commissions?

Yes! Nothing is guaranteed, but I offer commissions in watercolor, gel stick, and India ink fashion, and don't go any larger than a 9x12 piece of paper. If you're looking for an artist who paints people, animals, and cartoons in a simple style, then I'm your gal! You can reach out to me here. If you're looking for calligraphy/lettering, anime, or a different style/medium, then I recommend you check out some other fantastic artists.

Is 'Just For You Studios' really cheaper?

Yup! Because of our signature "keepsake size" and commitment to affordability, Just For You Studios ranges from $40 to a whopping $130 cheaper than your average watercolor portrait service.

Is any of the artwork AI generated?

Nope! Everything is completely hand- drawn, painted, and inked. While AI can be a helpful tool in many ways, it is just that - a tool. Nothing can ever replace the value of real art created by a real person, and I aim to share that art with you.
